To Sleep, Perchance To Dream

Day Twenty-Two of The Project:

As I mentioned in my previous post, I just slept for the better part of the last 24 hours. Thankfully I have a wonderful bed for extended sleeping sessions. Firm queen size pillow top mattress, 100% cotton sheets (lavender), lots of pillows, purple duvet cover with white polka dots, and an extra warm Ikea duvet. Even though it’s gotten quite chilly here, I like leaving the window open a little because I can’t sleep if I’m hot.

As soon as I got home last night I took a hot shower and climbed into bed with a good book and a glass of orange juice (I crave it if I’m getting a cold). The air was crisp and it didn’t take long for me to fall asleep with my dog curled up at my feet under the covers. During my sleeping spell I woke up intermittently and I would let the dog out, read for a little bit, then drift back to sleep. My beau came over to nap with me for a little while this afternoon and then he made me dinner (thanks, honey!).

I’m a little stiff from laying around so long, but it felt good to rest for so long without interruption or guilt. Of course Sunday will be busy since I haven’t accomplished any work around the house yet, but I think it was worth it.

Positive Self-Reflection

I’m very loyal to my loved ones.
